how more pretty
can an evening be
just so lovely
after a gloomy noon..
as the sun hides
behind those big clouds
i admire the bow
as i wait for the moon.

what do i do now,
shall i step out?
cycle in the rain
or flirt under a tree?
stare at the sky
or dance on the street?

its a lovely evening
with the little birds chirping.

but as i sit at home
and sip on some tea
listen to sinatra,
and a little rafi
this smile on my face
makes me realise
in small things like this
that happiness lies

lonely is word that can mean so much
the missing warmth,just that little touch.
It may be a tear caressing your cheek
or the lost hug which makes you real weak.
You feel alone even in a big crowd
your room is not longer filled with that
laughter so loud..
You feel like a big tree in the open feild
fighting your own little war
in this huge battlefield.
You refuse to let the night end,
when you remember the footsteps of a
departing old friend...
you are a boat on a still lake..
till that stranger comes..

the day i met her first...
those little twinkly eyes.
ah so lovely..
just so fine..
i knew we had a reason
to stick around and
love,each other.
there were times we watched-
the sunset,or smile at a photograph.
she taught me what fun was,
how to laugh at problems.
a dancer..aah the grace
a friend for life
she will occupy a warm spot
in my little heart.
off she goes in a month or two..
miles away from you and i.
as these tears roll down now,
i find no better way to say
love you baby
take good care..
i will miss you at sleepovers
and i wil no longer dance in theatres.
long drives mean nothing
and no one will argue anymore.
keep that lovely smile on
and pray just like i am
that life will be just as pretty

why

i cry for no reason
i laugh at any joke
i go out in bed clothes
i sit and wonder bout nothing
i laze around til noon
i suddenly cycle around town
i eat even greens with a smile
i fight with lame people
i argue about everything
even roses smell nice

why is all this happening?

Its a sunny day and
I have everything to do
but I wanna jump out
soak up the heat
and start all over again.
where is everyone
I need them now,
not to shop just to play
I plan nothing today.
Drive around town
climb and sleep on trees
munch at a corner
stay out til u're pleased.
